Sue Flynn, JLMC Member Since 2008

I have been a runner my whole life. I ran in high school, college and still run on a competitive team in NYC. My kids were raised touring the streets in the baby jogger! Running has giving me an after school activity, friendships, scholarships and networking  - my career started through a referral from a fellow runner.   However, I have only run for charity one other time and that was for Girls on the Run!

The Junior League has given me education and training and friendship and has expanded my role as a civic leader in NJ. As Chair of the State Public Affairs Committee, it is now engrained in me that the best way to prevent children from at risk behaviors is through empowerment and mentoring. JLMC’s work of empowering girls and projects including Girls on the Run provides empowerment and a form of mentoring that is unique and invaluable to both the girl and the Girls on the Run Coach.

I have run the Spring Lake 5 ten times but took a break for a bit. When an opportunity came for me to support the JLMC and run with JLMC friends I could not pass it up! The Spring Lake 5 is a great course. I cannot think of a better way to kick off the summer season than by running the Spring Lake 5 and representing the JLMC.

Running for the JLMC and supporting Girls on the Run is my chance to give back – please consider supporting me, Sue Flynn, as all donations go supporting the mission and projects of JLMC, including Girls on the Run 2014!

Sorry, this campaign is closed to donations at this time.
