I have always been active, playing many sports as a kid and all through high school and college.  Even today I keep active by golfing, skiing, running and participating in triathlons.  The picture on the bike is at the New York City Triathlon and the pciture with the tiara is at the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon.  I believe in an active lifestyle and I truly believe that sports, running, and really any activity helps to boost self-confidence in girls of all ages!

I am proud of the work the JLMC is doing to empower young girls to become confident women.  Some of the JLMC programming I have participated in over the last 5 years as a JLMC member include Kids in the Kitchen, Girls on the Run (GOTR), Running and Winning, Little Silver 5K, and various girl empowerment trainings and workshops.  I have been on the board of the JLMC for the past two years as the Director of Communications, and will be the President-Elect for the next league year, and President of the JLMC the following year.

Why am I running the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run?  Well, I have lived in Sea Girt (town just south of Spring Lake) for five (5) years and have always missed out on running this marquee Jersey Shore race.  I am very excited to have the opportunity through the JLMC to run the Spring Lake 5, but even more excited about raising money to support the programming of the JLMC.

Please consider supporting me and the JLMC in empowering young girls to become confident women.  My goal is to raise at least $750 in honor of the 75th Annivesary of the JLMC, but any amount will help to sponsor a GOTR program for a 3rd-8th grade girl, or will help support the other valuable programming of the JLMC.

Thank you!
